Angoris Schioppettino, Colli Orientali del Friuli

Schioppettino (skee-o-peh-tee-no) is so unique and delicious that it’s hard to image it faced extinction not long ago. Now protected by EU decree and producers committed to ancestral wines such as Angoris, the variety is undergoing a renaissance. Today Angoris produces one of the most pure and authentic expressions. The wine presents fresh, wild, ripe blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries with pepper spice and licorice notes; light-medium body and vibrant finish.
