Small production, big impact

Burgundy has influenced winemakers throughout the world, and in California it's not uncommon to hear wineries say they are "Burgundy inspired."

Sometimes there actually is a deep connection—as in the case of Porter Creek. Winemaker Alex Davis gained his enology degree in Dijon. He then worked in the cellars of Burgundy masters, Christophe Roumier in Chambolle Musigny and Michelot in Puligny-Montrachet, learning their secrets to making world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

This work inspired Alex to set the direction at his family winery nearly thirty years ago, a blueprint he has used ever since. And his legacy bears out—he's one of few domestic wineries who has held 20-year vertical tastings with professionals, which he's done several times in New York and San Francisco.

With no corporate backing and almost zero marketing budget, Alex spends all his time and attention on growing great wine. The wines sell purely on merit and pricing that's easily 20% less than famous neighbors.

In Porter Creek's current lineup of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, you will find a range of options to delight your clientele. Each one is the very definition of farm-to-table, authentic and delicious.
