Esther's Napa Cab Splurge!

If you were recommending one Napa Cabernet Sauvignon that's "worthy" of a splurge, what would it be?

For Esther Mobley, the answer is Philip Togni Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. In her selection of local wine and spirits "worthy of a holiday splurge" last week, Philip Togni Vineyard is the one—and only—Napa Cabernet that she recommends.

Of course she's not alone in recommending Togni for its incredible pedigree, quality and value. And yet, Mobley's praise is so significant as she speaks for—and to—the younger wine drinkers—many of whom will be discovering this iconic wine for the first time.

Like Mobley says, her holiday selection is "classic" rather than "edgy" as it's more enjoyable to have wines that build consensus rather than controversy over the holidays. "These are the wines and spirits I’ve enjoyed before and which I keep coming back to, over and over again."

While Togni is more expensive than wines Mobley usually recommends, she explains it's "more than worth it" and "not even close" to Napa’s most expensive tier.

I couldn’t agree more.
